What is the minimum rental period for a motorhome?

There are 2 days of minimum rental. However, there are specific seasons where the minimum rent may be higher.

Anyhow, do not hesitate to ask us about any intended exception.

What payment methods are available?

We accept payments by bank transfer, credit card and cash. However, upon check-in, a credit card with sufficient funds to secure the security deposit will always be required.

Who can drive motorhomes?

Any adult over 18 years of age who has held a valid driver’s license for more than 1 year.

By default, each reservation includes two drivers.

You can increase the number of drivers in two ways:

€5.00 per additional driver, per day;

By subscribing to other types of PROTECTION.

How can you rent a motorhome?

Upon reservation, a payment of 30% of the total amount must be made.

The remaining 70% must be paid at check-in along with the respective deposit.

Unfortunately, I need to cancel my reservation, what should I do?

You must notify us as soon as possible, however, the down payment (30%) is non-refundable for a period of less than 31 days.

Can I travel outside Portugal?

Yes, you can travel in any country indicated in the Green Card if you have opted for insurance that can travel outside the country.

What documents are needed to rent a motorhome?

  • Valid European or International driving license;
  • Valid identification document (Passport/CC);
  • Credit card with sufficient amount for the subscribed deposit.

    How are the total rental days calculated?

    Rental days are calculated in 24-hour periodswhich means that if you pick up the motorhome at 10:00 am on a Friday and it is delivered at 10:00 am on a Monday, you will only be charged for 3 days of rental. However, if the motorhome is picked up at 10am on Friday and returned at 1pm on Mondaywithout prior authorization, 4 days of rental will be charged Monday without prior authorization, 4 days of rental will be charged Therefore, it is important that you confirm the times before making the reservation, as this could have a significant impact on the final price of the reservation.

    When is the after-hours fee charged?

    The out-of-hours charge applies to deliveries and pickups made outside the hours between 10am and 7pm.

    In what condition must the motorhome be returned?

    All registered damages, in the vehicle and extra material, will be quantified and their value deducted from the amount referring to the deposit to be returned to the customer.

    The vehicle must be returned with a clean chemical toilet, the wastewater tank must be emptied and the Caravan minimally clean. Failure to comply with hygiene standards will result in the application of a cleaning fee.

    Can I bring my pet?

    Yes, Campers on Way is pet friendly and has a 35 euro cleaning fee.

    Which places can you deliver or collect the motorhome?

    You can pick up or drop off your motorhome at OUR FACILITIES from Monday to Sunday from 10 am to 7 pm without additional fee

    We can carry out the DELIVERY AND COLLECTION SERVICE at airports or at any other place of your choice. Any exceptional situation will always be subject to the approval of the rental company.

    Can I leave my personal car during the rental?

    Yes, you can have an additional cost of 7 euros per day. However, we are not responsible for any damage or theft.

    When I collect the motorhome do I have to leave a deposit?

    Yes, it will always be necessary to pay a deposit. This deposit has a variable value depending on the insurance requested, with the aim of covering costs in the event of damage to the motorhome. Campers on Way may take up to 10 days to return the deposit.

    What to do in case of breakdown or accident?

    You must immediately contact Campers on Way while remaining calm. Then Campers on Way will accompany you throughout the process to resolve the situation.

    What is included in the campervan price?

    Where can I park the campervan during the rental?

    All users are responsible for parking the caravan when booking. Make sure there are no no-parking signs before choosing a place to stay. For your safety, choose a campsite to stay, the costs are usually very affordable.
